Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Calgary (Downtown) Marriott

Hi everyone!

I'm new to this forum and also to priceline and I would like to try this system out. I would like to stay at a 3* or 4* hotel in Calgary from June 14th to June 16th (so 2 nights), preferably in the downtown area.

How should I proceed? When should I bid, and how much? (like how much time should I wait, etc.)

And how should I increase my bidding, and by what increment?

These questions probably seem stupid to you guys, but it really is my first time bidding so, sorry for being a dummy.

What is your maximum bid for this stay? Are you willing to pay more for a 4* property or are you looking for the least expensive 3* or better hotel for this stay?

my maximum bid? maybe 80-100$? but i would like to save as much money as possible. i would rather pay for the least expensive 3* hotel (instead of paying more for 4*). I saw on this forum that some people were able to get a 3* for only 53$.

If my price range seems a bit unrealistic, and if i dont have a choice, i wouldn't mind a 2* hotel.

Don't get discouraged if the following is not successful, as "i'm going somewhere" with this and there is a bigger plan in motion.

At the 3* level you have one re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 3* Downtown...

Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $65.
