Have you cancelled all your trips for which you were not successful bidding? Please post follow-ups to your threads with whatever you end up doing for each one, even if you eneded up cancelling the trips, as anything you did book could give others an idea for when they're having trouble with their own stays OR if you cancelled the trip at least other users know the thread has been 'concluded' rather then left wondering if you were ultmately successful.

I do see options withn the Cambridge area if that becomes a possibility for you (since already rejected at current levels in the zones already bid). I'd also try lastminute, GTA Hotels, and Quickbook, LastMinuteTravel, all of which can often have decent priced inventory during peak periods.

Others bidders should assumed it is canceled unless I post a message in this forum describing a winning bid thru priceline.

Nobody will assume it's cancelled just because you didn't post a follow-up, and is not what we ask from our users, please follow-up your future threads with the outcomes of your stays.

Have you had any successful priceline bids in the last 3 years... as we'd welcome your successful bids to the board as well in order to help other members.

A few weeks ago, I had a successful $110 bid for Boston - Downtown Charlestown on a Saturday night. The hotel I got was InterContinental Boston.

I have had 4-6 successful bids for Boston - South Shore (Braintree Randolf). Those bids have (on good days/longer time ago) went thru for $65-$85. The hotel was either the Quincy Marriot or the Sheraton Braintree. Over the past (3) years the accepted bid price has tended to rise from $65 up to around $90 (at current). All is subject, $65 and/or $90 may go thru at current, I just think $65 is now far more rare. I have also noticed that lately - in that zone, The Sheraton Braintree tends to come up far more often (almost exclusively) and NOT the Quincy Marriot.

The Quincy Marriot is a significantly nicer hotel...but there is nothing wrong with the Sheraton Braintree. (expecially if they take a $70bid..and allow you all in with taxes and fees around high $80s).

Otherwise, that's all I know.
