Hotwire Hotel: 4* Newark (Jersey City) Hyatt Regency on the Hudson

I noticed that there is some price fluctuation on Hotwire for a 4* hotel in Jersey City (August 30-Sept 5 stay). Last night when I first discovered Hotwire, there was a price of $85 listed. Today, the price was up to $111. Is this a normal fluctuation? Does anyone have any tips on when is the best time of day to buy (when the price is the lowest)? Or is it just the luck of the draw?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hotwire prices do fluctuate from search-to-search and there is no "time to buy" as it is done randomly in order to increase opacity. However, this your stay above is a multi-nite stay, there is also a chance that rates increase for one (or more) of the nites since the first time you saw it.

I ended up getting the Hyatt Regency in Jersey City for $104/night. It was a great hotel, very close to the PATH trains and excellent value for the price!
