Drake
...sorry, didn't realize the topic was cropped. I unsuccessfully bid for a 4* downtown up to $120 and a 3* downtown (dates above) up to $95.No luck so far in Seattle after two consecutive days of bidding/rebidding. Looks like prices downtown are a bit higher in the summer. Are the 3*s downtown located conveniently (in general)? Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
Seattle is expensive in the summer... cruise ships in town and the weather is the best it is all year. All reported 4* hotels have been in the 'good' area near/around the Pikes Place market. If you bid 3* there are hotels in this area but also hotels in the (often less desirable) Space Needle area. You may want to look at HOTWIRE as they sub-divide Priceline's downtown zone into two separate araea... Pike Market and Space Needle. If there is anything that interests you for this date thru HOTWIRE let us know what you are being offered (star rating, price, and amentieis shown)... otherwise let us know the star rating your want to stick with on Priceline and your maximum bid and we'll suggest a strategy to follow. Drake
By breaking my 3 day trip into 2 bids, I was able to get the Red Lion Pike Place for $90 for 7/28 and 7/29 and the Holiday Inn by the Space Needle for $160 on 7/27 Link to comment
thereuare
Thank you for sharing your win(s).Did i get the topic title correct by labeling this property 3 stars?Do you recall your bidding history for these two nites... was $90 your first bid in the zone after splitting the stay? Thanks.
