Hotwire Hotel: 3* Los Angeles (Pasadena) Holiday Inn Express

For a 3* with breakfast included, this seemed reasonable compared to bids I was making on Priceline that weren't winning ..... at least until we found out this was the Holiday Inn Express which is "specifically" listed on their 2 1/2* page in the offerings for $77. So, at $92, we suddenly felt like we had been misled by Hotwire. When I called Hotwire, they just said this particular HI Express was rated 3*. Maybe true, but when this is the ONLY Holiday Inn Express in Pasadena and it is specifically mentioned on the page offering 2 1/2* for $77, it seems a rip off to be charged $92 for the same hotel. They said there was nothing they could do until I went to the hotel and then I could call and complain. Wasn't too sure the hotel would be happy with them saying that?

I'm not sure i understand what you were seeing for $77/nite... was it this particular hotel with the name showing, as i'm seeing rates at this property start at $119/nite.
