thereuare
maybe a 2 star with private bathroom in a good location (manhattan)do you think it would be better to have a higher star hotel but outside manhattanIt's a trade-off... staying in the city is more convenient but also everything (food, drinks, bottled water, soda, candy, etc, etc) is more expensive. Staying outside of the city is less expensive, and you can eat early breakfast and late dinner in the 'suburb outside of the city' in or order to save some money, but by staying outside of the city you do lose much of the 'buzz factor' that makes the city so great. However, i'll also add that once you start to get below 3* in NYC the quality can get iffy. You may find a diamond in the rough which meets your needs, but you could also land something which falls well short of your expectations.I think your budget is going to be a bit tough regardless of which option you choose to purse, but let us know your thoughts on the above and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. To avoid any confusion, please list the zones you're willing to accept, by PRICELINE name, and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.
