Priceline Hotel: Vancouver Marriott

I am trying to stay at the Vancouver Marriott by winning a bid on Priceline, but I don't know which area the hotel is located according to their map of the area. Can someone help me?

Are you looking for the Marriott Pinnacle? If so, as per our PRICELINE HOTEL LIST this is in the Vancouver zone (that is the name of th zone, nothing more next to it). You should double check this zone and compare it to a map of the hotel's location as ultimately you are responsible for your bid.

You do understand you are not bidding for a particular hotel but rather for a minimum quality level within a given geographical area?

Thankyou for your quick reply. Yes, we are interested in staying at this hotel. From the previous posts I guess our max would be about $100 u.s. dollars. Your offer would be welcomed concerning a strategy.

I understand you are interested in this hotel... just want to make sure that you understand you are not bidding specfically for this property, you could get one of the other 4* hotels in this zone. Just don't want there to be any (negative) surprises... can you accept another 4* hotel in this zone?

Yes, my husband will be attending a meeting at the Hyatt so I am assuming that anything close by wiil work. We were going to stay on points at the Marriott, but if I can get something pretty reasonable I will save the points.

Now if you let us know the date(s) of the stay we'll be able to research it and suggest a strategy.

At the 4* level you have 3 re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read PRICELINE RE-BIDDING and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board.

Select 4* Vancouver zone....

Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $70, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* Vancouver zone and re-bid zone2....

Bid $75, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* Vancouver zone and re-bid zone3....

Bid $80, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* Vancouver zone and re-bid zone1 and re-bid zone2....

Bid $85, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* Vancouver zone and re-bid zone1 and re-bid zone3....

Bid $90, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* Vancouver zone and re-bid zone2 and re-bid zone3....

Tried and went all the way to $100, but no luck. It must be a very busy time in Vancouver. I do understand the strategy though, and perhaps will change the dates or try at a later date.

Just to update, never did receive the Marriott Pinacle in Vancouver or the Renaissance so we stayed there using our reward points. When we checked in the hotel was full and I imagine that the Ren was too due to Alaska cruises. Thanks for all the help.
