petrel800
Headed up to the Indy 500 from Atlanta and needed a place to stop for the night Friday. We stay outside of Indy closer to the Ohio border, so we go up I-75.Started with the Lexington, KY 3.5*'s hoping to get lucky, but I really wanted to be out the door for less than $65 a room w/ taxes and fees. Was looking for 2 rooms for 1 night. Started at $46, added zone rebid $49, added zone rebid $52, added last zone rebid $55. All rejected.I started over with 3*'s in the Lexington North zone and bid $50. Accepted. Total cost $121.86.Not my A bidding game, but I'll take it for Holiday Weekend travel. Beats the $89-109 + tax I saw at the usual hotel sites for comprable hotels. Plus, I'm traveling with my Father and Mother, so I was kind of conservative since I had to get something done. Good news though, it seems that per the hotel's website, it is completely non smoking, so that's one less thing to worry about. I'll post a review when I return. As always used the PRICELINE link up top. Link to comment
