Priceline Hotel: Group of 5 going to Vegas 12/10-12/13

So, a buddy in my group found a "deal" on a suite at the Venetian, works out to like 350 per night for an 1100 sq ft suite with 2 queen beds and a pullout couch...this room is probably amazing, but i am wondering if there is any better way to find equally awesome accommodation and possibly save a few bucks while using PRICELINE to bid?

Any advice greatly appreciated!

If you look at the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins (center of page - above), Nevada, for several of your dates you will see people have gotten 5*s for between $115 and $119 via HOTWIRE and PRICELINE.

While the $350 deal sounds like it would sleep all 5 of you, if you bid for and got three rooms for roughly the same total you'd also have three bathrooms!

Or if you only bid two rooms, those 5*s usually have a couch someplace and you'd indeed save a few bucks.

One good thing to do before bidding though is to check the rates on the hotel's actual web sites. Las Vegas Checker above will let you check several of the hotels all at once. Links to a lot of the hotels are under the Support/Travel Links tab above. www.venetian.com for that one. Sometimes they have really good specials only available on their sites.

5 people in one room may be a bit problematic if some hotels have occupancy limits per room (but that may vary, certainly.)

2+ rooms instead of one more expensive suite, as mentioned above, is a very good idea. There is no way to bid for upgraded rooms via PRICELINE or purchase them via HOTWIRE, but if you could get two or three rooms for the price of a larger suite, that would certainly offer some benefits, as well.

If you do still want to go for a suite, Expedia coupon FESTIVE10 should take $10 off per night, and $150 in "resort extras" coupons if you book at the Venetian or Palazzo. Some rooms at the Venetian also are listed as coming with breakfast.

Please use the site's HOTWIRE, PRICELINE or Expedia links to start your purchases and searches.

Thanks guys for the knowledge and advice!

i agree that having three (or even 2) rooms has a benefit - more beds, more bathrooms, more privacy if needed... but i have to imagine that the bigger the room, the more sick that room is, including hangout space etc...

the one thing that would defn suck though is if you were the one who wound up sleeping on the pullout couch...those things suck!

I'm going to use your tools to look around furthur, but defn some good points to consider

Definitely do let us know what you decide, and if you do decide on a suite, do look at some of the Expedia deals for the Venetian and Palazzo, which do offer breakfast. If you decide on PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, please let us know and we would be happy to offer suggestions on how to proceed.

Thank you for keeping us updated and for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
