Dillsnik
I'm looking for a room somewhere in nyc checking in on 12/30 checking out on 1/2. As this is i'm sure one of the most busy weekends to stay in Manhattan, some advice would be appreciated. I'd actually prefer to be close-ish to MSG, as this will be a destination for all three nights, but if the deal is right i don't mind staying somewhere else if it saves a few bucks. It's kind of overwhelming with all the zones and options...i'm not really sure what $$ number to start the bidding at and which zones to include or not include I do understand the technique of zone adding the way it's been explained, so i don't need an indepth analysis on that topic, but still a bit overwhelmed on the whole thing.... Dillsnik
Hi,Thanks for your reply! I've already made a few priceline bids using the links from the board, but no luck so far.So far i have bid up to 160 for a 3.5 star hotel in the areas of:CPS, CA, ESBA, HK, MSG, MW, TS, UWS - I left out UE based on how far some had said it can be to walk to a subway. I also left out the DSFD area b/c it seems like it is so far from anything that it's not worth to stay there, although i worry that's where the best deals are Link to comment
AaronJB
The problem with these dates is NYE, which is an incredibly busy night in NYC; many hotels are sold out or have limited ability (and are probably not discounting heavily, due to the possibility of walk-ins.) The previous day and day after also may be a bit busy with people either coming in early or staying late. What would be your desired max budget per night?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. thereuare
At current prices your budget is not likely enough for a 3.5* or better in midtown for these nites. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
