Priceline Hotel: 3* Key Largo Holiday Inn

Hi everyone,

thank you for this wonderful resource and all your contributions that make planning my travels so much better!

I am currently going through the whole routine of re-bidding 3-4 times with slightly different dates, prices and zones daily - for my stay in the Florida Keys in March 2011. Is that even reasonable or are prices unlikely to change this early?

also, I am bidding around $100-$120 per night for a 4* or Resort level hotel in the keys (all 4 regions). Considering that end of march is probably high season, is that even reasonable?

Bidding daily at the moment is probably a bit too much and would likely lead to frustration... i would think that once a week at this early stage of the game would be fine.

I'll also add that this March is Spring Break for many colleges and this may be a very busy time for the area which would also inflate hotel prices. Is there a date range you have in mind? What is the best rate you're able to find thru conventional booking channels?

I probably overpaid some here, made a mistake with re-bidding.

Anyway, my accepted bid was $116 + $10 bonus cash (10*5) for a total of $126 bid, $680 for 5 nights incl taxes.
