travelt
First time I have used hotwire and this forum. How do you id an hotel? Where are you looking to figure this out? I am going to Seattle Washington arriving 8/9 and departing 8/10.I see a 4 star that has no smoking, fitness, pool, rest, bus center and high speed for $132.00.I see a 3/1/2 star that has all the above and laundry for $129.00How do you put the signals above in your email?I have been using priceline starting at $75 and going all the way up to $105.00 unsuccesfully. Should I take one of the above or keep trying priceline? The group is staying at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel by Marriott and I was trying to stay close by if not at that actual hotel which is in the Seattle Pike Peak area. Thanks for your help! thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!First place to assist in trying to ID a hotel is the Hotwire Hotel List. The 4* above matches previous reports for the Renaissance, Sheraton and Westin, so any of these are likely possibilities. However, this offering also show a Tripadvisor rating of 4.0/5.0, which matches the Sheraton and Westin, so these would be the more likely two of the previous three. The 3.5* matches previous reports for the Silver Cloud Inn Stadium so that would be my best guess for this one.Whether to use PRICELINE or HOTWIRE depends upon how much you like the above hotels, how close they are to your ideal location, and if you went with PRICELINE to save a few dollars how much better/worse could the location be to your where you want to be? As HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, in a very large zone the ability to guess where the hotel is located can be worth the additional cost... in a smaller geographical zone the ability to guess the location may not be as important. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
