sallym786
in need of a place (preferably MTE if not then MTW) for 4/24-4/25 any ideas? HOTWIRE looks like everything is much too expensive for that saturday but i'll take any advice possible. do you think i could get the sheraton for 125$ for the saturday too (my priceline bid was accepted at 125$ for 4* 4/25-4/26, The Sheraton) or a 4* for 125$ if not i prefer to go with a 3.5 star...again in MTE if not then MTW. thank you Link to comment
thereuare
Is the "extend your stay" option present on your winning bid confirmation screen? You could try that first which would prevent you from having to change hotels mid-stay... or do you prefer the MTE zone vs. another nite at the Sheraton? When you won the Sheraton did you first try for both nites together and were turned down?Although i just took a look at rates and they do seem quite high for this Saturday nite and i'm doubtful $125 will be enough for a 4*... are these the only two zone(s) you're willing to accept? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. sallym786
I was given the option to extend my stay, but originally I was denied when i tried to bid both nights (i looked it up and called in, the sheraton is all booked saturday night).could i get a 3.5 star in the area for less than 125$? it doesn't have to be MTE or MTW because im not sure of the possibilities of those areas at a good price at this point. any help would be greatly appreciated!thanks again! thereuare
Unless you're willing to stay Downtown, i think you're looking closer to $200/nite than $125/nite for the nite of 4/24.Would staying in Jersey City (and commuting to Manhattan via a 15 minute PATH train) be an option? I think you could get a very nice 4* hotel within your budget there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. sallym786
Downtown is fine too, but Jersey City--not so much. If you have advise for downtown, please let me know. Thanks again, looking forward to your help! Link to comment
thereuare
If bidding Downtown what star did you want to try for a 4* up to your limit first or looking for the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay? What is your maximum bid? Also, via THIS LINK the Holiday Inn 57th St can be booked for $123/nite, if this would work for your plans. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
