kellysmom
I am looking for a 4* in the Midtown East or Central Park South areas. What is a good bidding strategy and starting point for this stay? I would like to stay as far under $200 all in as possible. Having never bid NYC before I appreciate the help. Link to comment

kellysmom
I went through this entire bidding process and got nothing so I then tried again for a 3 1/2* and still got nothing although I did not bid over 150. I guess I will have to go higher than $200 all in if I want 4*. Link to comment
AaronJB
There's a couple of 4*'s (one in MTC, one in ESB) on HOTWIRE or $205/$203.Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment

kellysmom
I bid this trip again today and still no luck-went to $175 - 4*. I am looking at Hotwire. Link to comment
AaronJB
Sorry to hear that bids weren't accepted. :)You can continue to bid higher, keeping in mind the HOTWIRE possibilities somewhat higher. I would be a little surprised if you didn't get a bite somewhere in-between where you've bid up to and the HOTWIRE prices. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. AaronJB
The 4* MTC has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but may be one of these: Flatotel, Sofitel, Helmsley Park Lane, Royalton, Warwick and Sheraton New York.My guess for the 4* MTE would be the W.Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. kellysmom
I booked the 4* through your link to HOTWIRE and got The Warwick for $189. Thanks for all of your help. After using PL many times I learned about rebids from you. Even though it did not help this trip thanks for the knowledge. Link to comment
