Needed 2 rooms on a relatively short notice. Started bidding at $60/night. Bid was rejected but PL made me a "special offer": if I would increase my offer with $17 I would have a good chance of getting the rooms I wanted.

I ignored this message and used a rebid to increase to $65, which was accepted :) . Makes you wonder how they come up with the $17. Accepted bid:
