Gatineau man
when bidding for a 2-star in a region where there is no 1-star (unless it is a more than independent motel with 10 rooms!) , if the 1-star option is offered, should I presume that a 2-star like a Comfort Inn or Quality suites for example would be downgraded to a 1-star? Or there is just no 1-star and they are offering it anyway just to give us the illusion of an abondance of choices in that region? thanks Link to comment
thereuare
I'm not sure what you're asking... do you know the area so well that you 'know' that there are no 1* hotels in the area? What region/zone is it that you're referring to?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Gatineau man
it is the city of Sherbrooke in Quebec, Canada Link to comment
thereuare
Both the Comfort Inn and Quality Inn are currently rated 2* by PRICELINE.In some areas some have theorized that PRICELINE make bidding available at some star levels for which there are no hotels, but this is a risk proposition, imo... to be on the safe side i assume that any star level offered is available.Sainte Helene De Bagot currently only offers 1* hotels, so if bidding for a 2* in Sherbrooke, you could use Sainte Helene De Bagot as a re-bid zone. (i'm assuming you know how to check/confirm this, but if not, feel free to ask)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide to do and how it goes or if we can be of further help. The one and only
Gatineau man, i think that there is 1* hotel in the sherbrooke are having lived there for 5 years. i wouldn't risk betting for one if i were you. Moreover, while PRICELINE retail page might not have a 1* star listing, it doesn't mean that they don't have one in their name their own price page. Link to comment
