thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding. Now that Priceline combines their Taxes and Fees into one figure (i assume the 'taxes' number you gave was actually 'taxes and fees'), there's no way of knowing Priceline's exact cost of the hotel. Also, since you were accepted on your first bid, there's no way of knowing if a lower bid would have been accpeted. However, in the past, this hotel's lowest accepted bid was $88. It could have changed to a higher rate (or lower), but $88 would have been a good starting point for this zone, and your $110 is a probably a slight overbid. But now that you've found BetterBidding, you'll be able to check previous prices paid and have a better idea of where to start your bidding. Also, feel free to ask for any help you may need, which includes where to start your bid.If you haven't yet, you should read: Bidding Again Before 72 hours (Re-bidding) as it's probably the most important 'trick' to use in order to get the best price. It can be confusing until you 'get it', so feel free to ask questions after you read it.Thanks for posting, and we look forward to seeing you at the board in the future.Enjoy your stay in NY!PS- here's some 'nicer' restaurant discounts if you're interested (my favoties is Brasserie 8 1/2) : Up to $30 off dinner at select NYC restaurants Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
