Priceline Hotel: 3* Scranton-Poconos (Scranton) Holiday Inn East

Was hoping for and expecting Nichols Village. However, it appears that the Holiday Inn Dunmroe (Tigue st) has been upgraded to 3*. There is no way this hotel is on par with nichols village or the Hilton.

Fortunately it is only for one night and we will be there for less than 12 hours.

Sorry to hear you're disappointed with the outcome... this hotel was previously reported at one point at the 2* level, so hopefully something has happened recently to account for the upgrade. As you point out, at least it's only for one nite, so hopefully you can get by well enough.

wasn't as bad as many made it out to be on tripadvisor. However, there is no way this is a 3*. More like a glorified 2*. In essence it's a motel. Anything like this with outside room entrances can not be a 3*. New flat panel tvs doesn't equate to 3* either. the beds were horrible. like sleeping on a spring. the people at the front desk provided top service. I will give it to them they are trying, however, I will stay away from this category on PRICELINE. worth the price of admission but no more.

Sorry to hear wasn't a great stay, but at least perhaps better than you expected based upon some of the reviews.
