merluza
When trying to place a bid for our NY stay in September (posted in another thread), I noticed today that a new area has been added: Hell's Kitchen area. So far, this area is grey and cannot be picked, but it seems that the MTW area has been modified to fit in the new zone.Is this temporary or is this a new zone? I could not find anything yet on the forum about this. Thanks for your advice! Link to comment
AaronJB
This zone appears to be coming soon, as it is grey. This is a pretty small zone, and I can't imagine there would be too many hotels that fall within this zone. The new Kimpton Ink48 falls within this zone and may be a possibility when the zone is actually offered. The Skyline would be another one in this zone.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
headtrip
It seems the Times Square and MTW zones are all about proximity to Times Square, so Hells Kitchen had to be it's own zone so as not to upset bidders exspecting to be within (short) walking distance. I agree that Klimpton will most likely be the new 4* hotel to be added within the new zone. Link to comment
merluza
Indeed, I had a look at the location and the distance to TS from the Kimpton Ink48 might be disturbing for some people. However, the property looks nice and it has a subway station nearby. After activation this will be an extra bidding zone for me :). Link to comment
