GeorgeSD
For example, in Vancouver B.C. downtown area, there are 4* hotels such as Sheraton Walls or The Renaissance. Sheraton Walls is a much better hotel than The Renaissance. If I bid a higher price, say $90 instead of $70, will I have a better chance of getting Sheraton Walls? I just don't want to stay at the Renaissance anymore. I'd rather pay full price and stay at the Embassy Suite. Link to comment
AaronJB
No. You could very likely overbid for the same hotel you would have gotten for less. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment

thereuare
Or try searching HOTWIRE to see if the hotel offered in the zone can be identified/guesses as the one you are seeking... or at least not the one you're trying to avoid. (ie- if the hotel you're trying to avoid doesn't have a pool... you can safely purchase a hotel showing the pool icon, 'knowing' that it's not the hotel you're hoping to avoid)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
