warsad
2.5 Miami Downtown: June 27- July 1. I am looking for a 2.5* hotel in downtown Miami. I have not seen any 2.5 star hotel(s) in DT Miami listed on the forums. However, I have noticed that 3.5* hotels are won routinely in this area. I have seen the 3.5* Marriott in this area won around $55. Thank you any help would be appreciated! Link to comment

warsad
I will use the PRICELINE link to start my bidding. However, I am not sure of how much I should bid for a 2.5* in DT Miami, b/c I have won 3.5* in DT Miami for $58 for a August stay. So, what would be a good stopping point for my 2.5* bid?As always I will use the PRICELINE link to start bidding. Link to comment
thereuare
First, rates are date specific, and you're making an assumption that you'll be able to get a 3.5* for these nites for $58/nite, which might not be the case.As there have been no 2.5* hotels reported to the board, it's possible that only one or two hotels at this star rating participate, and they may not discount their rates very much, actually making the 3* and higher hotels cheaper than the 2.5*, and any 2.5* bids are ultimately upgraded to a higher rated hotel. (thus the lack of reported wins at this star level)What is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable hotel for these nites thru traditional booking channels? Thanks for using our PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links for your purchases and searches.
