emmd2001
4* Hotel on the LV Strip for 3/20-3/23. Showing as $117/night. Can't match it with anything on the list. Not a bad deal for these nights at all.Currently have a reservation at the Monte Carlo for $119/night, trying to decide whether to keep that or take chances elsewhere (either Hotwire or Priceline)Can't match it with one on the Hotwire Hotel list. i think it is Aladdin, but not sure. What are your thoughts?Amenities are:Casino - Restaurant - Fitness Center - Spa Services - High Speed Internet Access - Golf Nearby - Tennis Nearby - Business CenterAny thoughts - do I keep what I have, or take the Hotwire/Priceline route??? thereuare
First thing is go back to HOTWIRE and click 'view complete amenity list' as there are more amenties than you list above (the Hotwire main screen can only show eight amenity icons... you need to click the other link to see the others).Next you have to think... a 4* hotel in Las Vegas without a pool? I would call the Aladdin and see if their pool is currently closed for for renovations... if it is, that would be my best guess for this property. emmd2001
those are from the "complete ammenity" list. and also matched up to the aladdin displayed in a hotel/car package for the same dates with same amenities (also no pool shown)so recommendations on Aladdin vs. Monte Carlo? thereuare
I'd say they're fairly close in quality but have different personalities....Aladdin is a theme oriented hotel and for some that's what they go to Vegas for... others don't like it one bid and say it's too 'disney-esque'.Monte Carlo is the oppostite, a good, quality hotel with a casino... no theme or attractions to try to lure tourists in (again, some like this aspect since they can walk peacefully thru their hotel without bumping into 'tourists' who are only there to see the lions, tigers, attractions, etc... while others prefer to be entertained every moment they leave their room). So it basically depends what you're looking for... location wise they're both excellent.Let us know what you decide. Ringman
Aladdins pool is closed- per description on PL of vacation package with Aladdin:Conveniently located at the heart of the Las Vegas strip the Aladdin is across the street from the Bellagio and adjacent to Paris Las Vegas. ***As a result of the weather we are experiencing and will continue to experience this winter as well as the lack of usage, we will be closing the Pool and Pool Deck until April 1, 2005. This will provide us the opportunity to perform repairs and maintenance on the Pool and Pool Deck prior to the spring season.*** Link to comment

AztecWolverine
I'm confused, thereuare.... :) .....how come most of the posts in this thread are dated in 2005, and then end in 2007 ??? Link to comment
thereuare
Because the user never follow-up the thread with the outcome... s/he recently asked for help in this Hotwire Baltimore thread where we asked them to first follow-up this thread (and another one) with the results.
