When the bid was rejected, I upped it immediately to $111 and added the 4* category to Resorts, and resubmitted the bid. Won the Intercontinental! Woo Hoo! We have a one-night stay following a week traversing PR, and we really did not want to stay at the Caribe based on the location (not much walkable at night per reviews), though I'm sure it would have been fine. So when I saw the process by which the Intercontinental was garnered on this forum, I went for it. Bingo! Thank you betterbidding, and "hubris"! Enjoy your stay too.
