Priceline Hotel: 3* San Juan Sheraton Convention Center

Hello! I've tried unsuccessfully to bid on a 3 1/2 star room in San Juan for 2/27/10.

I Started with $140 (bonus cash) and upped it by $5 using free rebid zones until I got up to $160. All rejected.

Hotwire has 3 1/2 star listed for $117.

I'm not sure if I should keep increasing my bid? Try again another day and perhaps have luck with the same bidding strategy?

One thing I did notice - the Sheraton Old San Juan, which is often seen as the winning hotel in this class, is sold out that night.

I've never used HOTWIRE so not as familiar. The amenities listed are few:

High Speed Internet Access

Golf Nearby

They're offering a 2 1/2 star for $168. ???

The 3.5* with Restaurant, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Golf matches previous reports for the Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel and Casino so that would be my best guess.

Thanks pnb! I started rebidding last night and, after many rejected offers, added zone three and got the Sheraton Convention Center. But I'm not going to make a post with my winning bid, because the price would be misleading. I had no choice but to bid all $140 of my bonus cash, and that's surely more than what someone else would pay for this property. I hope you enjoy your stay!

What was your bid before the bonus cash? Did the bonus cash cover the entire bid?

The bonus cash was $140 and that's all I used. Well, I actually had to bid at least $1 of my own money in order to use the bonus cash. So my final bid was $141. All said, I'm responsible for $25.33 after taxes and fees.
