croby
I want to stay in Tucson 1/21 to 1/23 (2 nights) in the La Paloma/Ventana area.Has anyone had any success on Priceline in this area? I will accept just about any level hotel but want to pay about $50 - $65.Has anyone had a successful bid recently at La Paloma?Thank you Link to comment
rc408
I usually stay at resorts in the North Tucson area which average about $65 per night. I don't have any info on the La Paloma/Ventana area but thought this info might help a bit. For some reason the weekend of February 26th I am unable to book for a decent rate (I've bid up to $75) possibly due to an event in the area. Link to comment
croby
What resorts do you usually use in North Tucson? What stars on Priceline do you request? Link to comment

rc408
I usually request a resort when I stay in Tucson. There are only 2 areas with resorts so if you don't get your price at first you can rebid by increasing your price and adding other areas that don't have those properties. See the "General Priceline tips" area for help. The 3 times I got resort properties were: Hilton El Conquistador Resort: $76.34 w/taxes&fees Hilton El Conquistador Resort: $74.63 w/taxes&fees Omni Golf Resort: $73.41 w/taxes&feesThey were all located in "North Tucson".I am currently having a lot of trouble getting a room for February 26th. I've bid up to $65 for a resort not including tax/fee with no luck. I've bid the 1* up to $45 not including tax/fee and have not won a bid yet. :) Let me know if there is anything else that could help you. Link to comment
croby
Just got this hotel for two rooms, 3 nights for $57/night, total with tax and fees is $392.95.Would not have known what I was getting without the Hotwire list on this website - 3.5* with restaurant, pool, fitness, business.Thank you! :) Link to comment
croby
I found that for Tucson Foothills, Priceline only has resort level hotels, at least for the dates I was trying to get - 1/21 to 1/24. So that did not work. I wound up getting 3.5* on Hotwire Tucson East for $57/night plus tax and fees. It was the Hilton, Tucson East which should work out fine for us. Link to comment
