Hotwire Hotel: 4* DC (Arlington) Westin Arlington Gateway

I went with the $129 Hotwire hot Rate (~$144/night with recovery charges and fees). It was easy to match the amenities with the hotel lists provided here and see that it [Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business] was the Westin Arlington Gateway. The $129 hot Rate is more than half off the going rate at this hotel ($299 from many many websites for my dates), so I am very pleased.

This hotel gets very good reviews and is just a block or 2 from the National Science Foundation office that I need to go to.

Just booked the same hotel, paid $149 for 2/8 to 2/9 2010. Same amenities. $149 wasn't as good as deal as you got but I need to be close to a meeting that starts at 8 AM and that was $57 than the special conference rate at another hotel.

Is it preferred that I add a confirmation like this, or that I make a new post?

Glad to hear that you were able to get a property that works well for your plans, plus at a cheaper rate than convention rate. Additionally, rates vary by dates, and this seems like a very good deal for what appear to be busy dates - this hotel is nearly $300 full price on Expedia.com.
