thereuare
This hotel used to be the Wyndham Condado Plaza, then just the Condado Plaza, and most recently was taken over by the Conrad chain, under which the reviews have greatly improved. HOWEVER, be aware that many reviews you will find of San Juan hotels will have more than their share of negative reviews. As i've stated previously, San Juan is an expensive hotel market, and users often expect more when they're paying more. The hotels in this area often fall short, not necessarily because they are 'bad' per se, but due to what i call cultural differnces. If you've ever been on a cruise, it's often said that the residents of the ports of call are on "island time" in that things move a little slower and there isn't as much of a rush factor for much of anything. Even though Puerto Rico is still part of the US, they still maintain their island ways, and this slower pace of life is often viewed as poor/slow service by high paying guests who are more accustomed to a faster pace. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help. vtgobbler99
We decided against going to Puerto Rico. The hotel + airfare were just too much for a short 5 day trip. Link to comment
