TejasT
I want to rent a SUV from 02/03/10 Wednesday(7:30 AM) onwards 02/08/10 Monday (12:00 AM). I went to the price line site and bid for $13/ day. The total came to $65 car rental + $52.97 (Taxes and Fees) = $117.97. This rate seems really fishy for a SUV. Somebody help me if I should go on wid this rates and nuthing extra will be removed from my pocket. I always rent a car from Wednesday to Monday for 5 days, which cost me around $250 every week. My friend told me to try PRICELINE. With this rates I am really confused. ANy help will be appreciated.THanks Link to comment
cshos
If they accepted your bid, you have likely already paid and have the rental. Are you just amazed at the good rate? I have only bid once through this 'better bidding' through Priceline. It was exactly as quoted in the e-mail they sent me after the bid. ($11 a day for a week in Kauai, HI for a midsized car...plus taxes.) The only 'extra' you might expect is for them to give you a hard sell to get extra insurance. After our vacation, I posted a note on this board about our experiences with it. If you are interested....I posted it in Dec. 09. Link to comment
thereuare
My guess is that your bid has not yet been accepted and that you're looking at the page to review your bid before submitting...Have you yet clicked the "BUY MY RENTAL NOW" or is that at the bottom of the page you're referring to? Have you yet submitted your credit card info? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
