n2ny
Accepted my first bid of $60: $60 plus $16.36 = $76.35 I thought the bid was on the low side but I guess not. Used your PRICELINE link! :) Link to comment

n2ny
OK, I just found out I need a second room. Any helpful hints? Link to comment
yellowdog
n2nyThis is a tough one! Duplicate your bid don't guarantee you the same hotel. This is a question how much you want to gamble. And this hotel is not reported on our HOTWIRE section either. So this is really up to you.Let us know if we can help you any further.YellowdogPlease use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. n2ny
I don't have to have the same hotel, and I tried to get another room via PRICELINE, but it would not accept my bid (even went up to $65)! Does the identity of the bidder have anything to do with whether they accept or reject your bid? Might I have better luck having my husband bid with his credit card? Link to comment
AaronJB
It may be an inventory issue if the same bid is not accepted. Were your bids not being accepted or were you getting a "duplicate bid" message? What would be your max budget per night for the second room?Thank you for using the site's PRICELINE link to start your purchase. Link to comment
thereuare
Does the identity of the bidder have anything to do with whether they accept or reject your bid?No, the fact that you won a previous room for these dates should have no relevance. The more likely scenario is that there was only room offered at this deeply discounted rate.As AaronJB mentions above, let us know your maximum bid for this second room and we'll take it from there. Please remember to use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your bidding. n2ny
AaronJB, no it was an outright rejection, not a duplicte bid.Maybe $75 max. Thanks so much for your help and advice. Link to comment
thereuare
At the 3.5* level you have FOUR re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.I'd re-try as follows:Select 3.5* Downtown...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $73, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75Any questions feel free to ask. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. n2ny
Well, today must be my lucky day. Using your PRICELINE link, of course, I got a second accepted $60 bid, again at the Marriot Downtown!!! Since it's such a big hotel, I was hoping they would add some rooms early in the week. Before my offer was accepted, Priceline even reminded me that I had another accepted offer for the same dates.going to go run out and buy a lottery ticket now. :) Thanks again for your assistance. This site is wonderful! Link to comment
