dechass
Hey all,I am targeting TI on these dates 13 June to 18th June.I know it might be a bit early, but I read on here that it might not matter.1. is it too early?2. when PRICELINE searches for the 4 star option, does it include 5 stars in the search?Because I would like TI, but not for example the Venetian (stayed there last time). So could there be a senario where i bid for a 4 star, and it is unsuccessful, but a 5 star is be available for that price, and I get that hotel, eg the Venetian and i'm stuck with it.Regards. headtrip
I would answer yes and yes.Yes, it is pretty early to be bidding for June, but it never hurts to try especially if you want a low rate.Yes, you might get the Venetian and upgraded to a 5* property. You might also get the Wynn which have been won recently, the Trump hotel, or another 4* property. There is no sure way to get TI with PRICELINE. Link to comment
AaronJB
As mentioned above, there is no way to target a particular property with PRICELINE and getting the Venetian - or any number of 4* or 5* properties that also participate with the service - would be possible. Your best bet would be to see if a property matching the amenity set previously reported with the TI is showing for your dates or seeing if either of the current Orbitz.com coupons - FABSAVE10 or WELCOME10 would take 10% off your dates at the TI.Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE or Orbitz links. dechass
thanks guys, that' clears that up.The coupons didnt save any more AaronJB, but i'll try them again nearer the time. The hotel is keenly priced anyway, but i'll keep an eye for deals on websites.I hope to make savings on my stay in New York, and maybe San Francisco, so i'll post on those sections of the forum soon. Thanks for your help. thereuare
In the future please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread... if you ultimately use the 'other' service from where the thread is currently posted we'll move the entire thread to that section of the board. The Customer Favorite designations haven't been used for awhile, but if/when they return, they'll be on the right side of the offerings next to the "Lowest Price Guarantee" and "Best Value" designations. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. AaronJB
There is a resort fee at quite a few Vegas properties. From Expedia re: Planet Hollywood - Hotel resort fee: US$ 4.99 per room, per night.Regular rates in Vegas actually seem lower than usual for these dates - the Planet Hollywood is $71 on Orbitz for these dates, plus 1 free bottle of wine during the stay and coupon code orbitzdeal5 appears to take 5% off the regular rate. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE or Orbitz links to start your purchase and your searches. thereuare
I don't know the different room types at this porperty but it will be for a 'standard' room. Any requests for an upgrade or particular room type can be made by calling/emailing the hotel after your purchase and again at check-in, although no guarantee the hotel will be able, or willing, to honor your request. If it's important enough to you, and after all this is Vegas, you can try Tipping the Front Desk Clerk at check-in.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
