Priceline Hotel: Resort San Juan Caribe Hilton

for 7 jan to 9 jan 2010 initial bid selecting san juan dowtown map of $83 for two rooms four adults and resorts was declined -- then an offer to re-bid without changing any criteria IF additional $22 per night. Decided against that and instead added another region (w/o resorts) as per forum guidance ... and increased bid to $89...

up popped successfull bid for Caribe Hilton. as others note, this is a nice hotel !

would welcome suggestions for local (inexpensive) dining or breakfast.

As you point out, a very nice hotel and a great deal for this property.

Across the street from this property there is a bakery (at least there used to be) which you can probably find some inexpensive breakfast. For a 'real' local dinner experience, i usually recommend "La Casita Blanca", but it's a cab ride away which, after paying for RT transportation, can make this otherwise affordable meal a bit pricey.
