SeattleRedBear
Last minute trip up to Vancouver for the weekend to hit the Boxing Day sales. Looking at as cheap as possible (could stay with friends, but this time of year, don't want to inconvenience people). Didn't really care about location as we have a car. I was all about finding the cheapest hotel that wasn't a youth hostel (which I've done before, spouse refuses to do that again).HW was showing a 3* for $59; 2* & 2.5* for $49.Because there's 8 zones altogether and I didn't care where we were located, I just started each round of bidding with downtown zones and worked outwards.1* started at $26 and incremented $1 with each rebid. Ended at $33. All rejected.2.5* started at $36 and incremented $1 with each rebid. Accepted at $28 with areas Downtown, Granville, & North Vancouver selected. This hotel does not appear on the PL pinned list, so please add. TA reviews are pretty mixed, so if we don't have a good experience, I'm sending a msg to PL. chris61417
Remember there is free parking everywhere in Downtown Vancouver after 8pm.I hope hotel parking isn't that expensive.. but I have a feeling it is at least $12 per night.... Link to comment
