Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Cleveland (Downtown) Marriott at Key Center

May I have a bit of help with a bidding strategy for downtown Cleveland, 4 - 7 March 2010. I'm looking for a 3.5 - 4 star property--cheap as possible. Judging from recent wins, I'm willing to bid up to $75 or so.

For kicks I just low-balled a $40 bid on a 3.5 star property--that was denied. I used Better Bidding's PRICELINE link.

Many thanks!

Are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay?

Since you mention "as cheap as possible" i assume you're looking for the least expensive 3.5* or better, but please confirm and we'll advise accordingly.

Thanks for using our PRICELINE link for your bidding :)

At the 3.5* level you have SIX re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 3.5* Downtown...

Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $75

Any questions feel free to ask.

Thank you for your help!

I bid $45 and was rejected, but was asked to raise my bid by $13. Rather than messing around, I upped to $58 as directed and got the Marriott Downtown at Key Center. It's a 3.5* property and especially well-reviewed, so I'm happy. Three nights, 4 - 7 March, with taxes and fees that's $210.15.

I used the board's PRICELINE link.
