kayess
We stayed here for 2 nights midweek at the end of October 2004 and found it fine. Newport at that time of year was a bit on the dull side although the mansions were spectacular. We paid around Link to comment
travelbadger
Was not impressed at all. Paid $95 for 9/2/10-9/3/10 and then was hit with a $30 "resort fee" upon check-in. a) this place is not a resort and :) the things they listed that were included in the 'resort fee' were not all applicable (the water shuttle/boat was not working, and the movie we tried to take our daughter to see on the lawn was not playing). The food was not good at all. We had an appetizer and drinks by the pool upon check-in, dessert later that night, and breakfast the next day - everything was below mediocre. They offer a lot of useless activites that I don't think anyone makes use of - the one I tried to make use of for our daughter was not even available (the movie) and as I ment'd - the boat service was also not in operation. Would never want to stay here again. So disappointed I did not get the Marriot as I had hoped. Link to comment
