pkerr
Since this is 2 days before Thanksgiving I have no idea if this is a good or bad time to be trying to get a room at a good rate. Any ideas? Thanks! Link to comment

pkerr
Welcome to the site.Budget? Sorry and thanks.4 or 5 star and only on the 24th.Strip area....And just as an FYI I was on the MGM Grand WEB site and they had "regular" rooms for that date going for $69.Thanks! Link to comment
AaronJB
If you decide to book through the MGM Grand website, it would be greatly appreciated if you could use the site's MGM Grand link. There is a 4* in the South Strip area on HOTWIRE for these dates with the amenities Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf, Tennis, Spa (spa only comes up if you click to the detail page for the listing and then click "see all amenities") for $59. That would match what has been previously reported with the MGM Grand. There are a few different 4*'s showing for under $60 on HOTWIRE for this date, and you could attempt to get under HOTWIRE's price using PRICELINE, although with PRICELINE you do have to be more flexible about where you end up.Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links. pkerr
So if I understand what you are saying is that based on what amenities HOTWIRE is showing there is a good chance it would be the MGM Grand and with PRICELINE it's more of a gamble? (no pun intended)That being said, it looks like this time of year (Nov 24) shouldn't be a probelm getting a decent room at a good price? Thanks Link to comment
thereuare
Also if you click on this MGM Grand Maximum Escape promo link the rate for the above nite is $70... plus you get a $35/stay activity credit (ie-dining or entertainment credit). If you eat at one of the selected restaurants you can treat this $35 as cash, essentially bringing your cost down to $35/nite. As well, its' refundable up until 48 hours before your stay (always doublecheck the terms during the checkout process) so you can lock this in now and if a better deal should come along you can always cancel and re-book (but if treating this as $35/nite it will likely be tough to beat, imo)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. (or our MGM Grand link)Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment

pkerr
Used the PRICELINE link and made my 1st bid at $65. It was rejected and was told if I added $17 I could rebid. I decided to add another zone that didn't have a 5* and rebid it at $70. Got it.B.T.W. Can I call the hotel now that I have the reservation and request certain types of beds? 2 qns vs. 1 king? Thanks everyone! Link to comment
AaronJB
Congrats on your success! :)Awesome deal for the Trump, and very nice job w/rebidding. 2 beds is not guaranteed via PRICELINE reservations. You can call and make a request, but there's no guarantee it will be honored.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using the site's PRICELINE link.Enjoy your stay. Link to comment
