Priceline Hotel: 4* Fremont Downtown LV - optimal price?

Hi, I was trying to bid for 2 rooms at a 4* in Fremont Street area in Downtown LV at a very low price for Dec 22 to 23

I'm pretty much assuming that it's Golden Nugget (I'm not sure if that's wrong), and on its site, it's $39 per night.

On Hotwire, a 4* downtown is listed at $36. On PL, Golden Nugget is listed at $40

I tried the following attempts:

1st bid: $20

rebid (added Boulton): $25

On another credit card

2nd bid: $28

rebid (added Boulton): $30

$36 isn't bad, but I'm trying to minimize this cost so I can justify a much more expensive 2nd night at Venetian. Could you advice me on bidding strategy?

Thanks! I just booked on Golden Nugget's website at $39 anyways. With taxes on Hotwire, the difference ended up to be just $1 anyways.
