I'm not sure of my stay dates yet. If I book it, I will post the dates.

How do the dates affect the hotel ID?

Sorry about cut/paste. I won't do it again.

Just looking for help, because in one thread, thereuare was certain someone was getting the Crown Plaza (which I don't want) when I thought it was the same as the Diplomat.

Thanks

The Marriott has never been reported on HOTWIRE before, and would be unlikely. This is probably either the Crowne Plaza or Westin. We need dates so that we can research the situation ourselves and since rates are different from day-to-day, it's impossible to research your trip using different dates.

So are your dates definitely 1/23-30? What is your budget per night?

Well my dates are changed now to 2/13 - 2/20 because of airfare problems. I have no budget, but

it is VERY hard to justify paying $400 / night for the Westin when I was able to procure it for 6 days last year for ~$150/night, especially with the cost of valet parking, food, etc there.

But, it would SUCK to get the Crowne Plaza across the street for $150/night for 2 reasons. #1 are the mixed reviews of the place and the fact that it's across the street from the beach. #2 is the fact that some people will get the Westin for a similar price!

Have you noticed if the Crowne Plaza is cheaper or more expensive than Westin (among Hotwire winners?)

Thanks again for the help. I just wish Hotwire got slightly less opaque for the savvy traveler.

Who wins when they don't? NOBODY

The HOTWIRE hotel room block remains unsold. The non HOTWIRE hotel room block won't be sold any more. HOTWIRE doesn't make money. The CONSUMER doesn't get any benefit.

Lowest price guaranteed.

My guess is GRAND CAYMAN BEACH SUITES but why so expensive? Is it because it's so far out still? Others have gotten much cheaper on this site!

Also, if this is the GRAND CAYMAN BEACH SUITES, has anyone stayed here on a HOTWIRE reservation (or otherwise). Did they give you a nice unit?

thanks again

Tripadvisor 4.5/5

What could this be?

Is this the Reef Resort?

Is this the Ritz Carlton?

I am truly perplexed and fascinated.

I don't think I want the Reef because it isn't on Seven Mile Beach.

But this would be awesome if it were the Ritz!!

Or do you think it may be a hotel that is listed currently on Tripadvisor as 4/5, but it was at 4.5/5 in the recent past?

Thus it could be the Marriott or GC Beach Suites etc??

Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread (if you actually end up staying in Grand Cayman we'll move the entire thread to that section of the board)

The above is a match for the Grand Cayman Beach Suites so that would be my best guess.
