joesmom
Just unsuccessfully bid on mtw 4* $117 for 2 rooms, if I add Long Island (no 4* available) I can rebid mtwfor $120? Sorry, I've never tried the rebidding and I've read and reread the tips but I'm still scared, andI don't want to end up in Long Island. Link to comment

I give you guys and gals alot of credit for the patience you show in trying to explain this! Thank you!So here is what I did, I'm trying for two rooms for three nights (12/20-23)4*MTW $117 reject MTW + UES $120 rejectNow I'm going to try this4* MTW + Brooklyn $1304* MTW + Chelsea $1354* MTW + Long Island $140I can always try MTE but I won't go above $112If that doesn't work, I'll bag the trip (it will be close to $1000) and we'll go skiing instead.Start with reading this link: Priceline Re-Bidding Explained It's very importand that you understand this. AaronJB
Glad that the explanation page was helpful. :)My only note in general regarding re-bidding is just to be careful, as while NYC is fairly straightforward, there have been a few instances of people in various areas who have ended up in areas that were certainly not where they wanted because they were bidding in a hurry.Including other areas that do not have 4*'s - as you have noted above - is correct. I don't think $112 is going to be enough for MTE. Maybe $120ish at the least.Thank you for using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links. Link to comment
