Hez66
Hi,Newcomer to this site, just wanted to say upfront it looks very impressive and very informative.I want to use PRICELINE to bid for a room in Miami. Looking for 4* in the Downtown Area Dates 27th December - 1st January inclusive.Budget is $100 - $200 per night.Hoping not to get the Hyatt, simply based on Tripadvisor reviews.Any assistance/advice for my bid strategy, as I've never used the site before, would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm bidding out-side USA, (Northern Ireland), assume that's still ok using the dummy state and zip codes explained in other posts. Also had a question about Priceline, I've been reading the posts about starting out. They mentioned that "once a bidis accepted the room is yours", do you have to accept it or can you still pull out ? Is there a way of trying to determine the hotel your being offered before you confirm, thinking of the listings that are displayed and the educated guesses you guys make.ThanksHez Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!Once you're told the name of the hotel you then own it, there are no refunds or cancellations. With PRICELINE there is no way to target a specific property or take an educated guess as to the hotel you will likely received. This is possible with HOTWIRE by using the amenities shown before the purchase, but still no guarantees of what you will get. (what i'm guessing is either the Hyatt or InterContinental appears to be avaialble for your dates for $119/nite, if that is of any interest)Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. cruisingjunkie35
I just wanted to say to the OP that you have no reason to worry about the Hyatt downtown. I have recently stayed there on two different occasions and it is VERY nice. You won't be disappointed. I am extremely picky and was very pleased. Link to comment
