LoisW
i am wondering if you have any suggestions for me with Priceline. As you can see in my previous post that I booked a car with Alamo. The problem is I just noticed I made a typo on the last name of the driver...I typed a 'q' instead of a 'z' at the end of the last name. I called Priceline and Alamo and they both said they can't correct/change it. Any suggestions? I'm wondering if they will make any difference when we pick the car up in Lihue. Link to comment
thereuare
I wouldn't think that's a big deal, but i would make a print out of winning bid confirmation and hand that to the clerk while you 'fubble' for your license... he'll use that to look up your reservation and then just input your license info later in the process, hopefully not notcing the typo. If the clerk makes a point of it just play stupid (easy for me to do :) ) and act like you didn't notice. If you are concerned you can make a cancellable back-up reservation someplace (often not requiring a credit card) so at least you're not subject to whatever price Alamo decides if you are stranded at the counter (which i suspect won't be an issue, as a one letter typo is very different than a different name entirely picking up the car)Good luck. LoisW
Thanks for your imput. I decided to the call the local Lihue airport office and ask them about it...did this before I read your response. Anyway, they said it wouldn't be a problem at all...so you were right. Link to comment
