AaronJB
The 3* Evanston is likely the Holiday Inn North Shore, which used to get awful reviews, but has apparently started to clean up its act, given the recent reviews. Still, I really wouldn't pay $119 for that hotel, given its history.Additionally, not sure if you're aware, but Evanston/Skokie, while not FAR from downtown, is not close. Skokie is not hugely convenient in terms of public transit, but it isn't bad if you're driving (30 minute drive or so). Evanston is better, but if you want to be near downtown for one night, this is not what I would suggest. Given that the NMA hotel is cheaper, there's no way I'd suggest staying in the burbs in this instance. The 4* NMA would be either the Drake or Knickerbocker. There's no way to narrow it down further. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase. Link to comment
