AZDakota
We are adding the grand parents to the Disney trip and thought I'd get them a 4* property. They are staying an additional night so I was not able to use the original priceline request. I followed the rebidding strategy as outlined in this forum and was up to $64 with no success. Before changing my star level to 3.5 I decided to reduce the price to $50 and add Newport Beach. I didn't think I'd get anything but to my surprise I got the Hyatt Newport Beach. The hotel has very mixed reviews but it's a 50% discount. How can we complain about that??? The grand parents are not picky at all and they have not seen the ocean in about 15 - 20 years so they are excited.Next time I will wait the 24 hours and try again using the 3.5 star level and lower the price further. I could have saved a few bucks too...Oh well. Link to comment
AaronJB
Congratulations on your success!Certainly looks like a great discount. While there are a few negative reviews lately, most recent reviews are pretty good and keep in mind that many of those reviewers likely paid full price and may have had differing expectations as a result. Hope your grand parents have a fun and enjoyable stay at this Hyatt property. :)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay. Link to comment
