thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! As "downtown" isn't a PRICELINE zone, exactly which zone(s) did you include in your bidding? What star level did you select? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. shazebq
Yeah, I'm having the exact same problem. I'm trying for the Millennium Park area and North Michigan Ave but no luck! Does anyone know if there's something going in Chi-town the weekend of Oct. 17? Link to comment
cornmouse
Yes I selected Millenium Park area. And I did use the PRICELINE link given by this forum to bid. I heard there's an activity going on in that area... Link to comment
The one and only
thre is a huge convention that i am attending happening this week-end. i won a 3* in NMA zone for 120$. that should give you an idea of the range to bid and even that might not be enough as the cheapest room on HOTWIRE for what could be considered ''Downtown'' is showing at 239$. So if you can move your date, i think i would as the week-end after seems to go a lot cheaper. If you can't, be prepared to pay what is usually the rack rate for chicago and even a little bit more than that. Link to comment
thereuare
cornmouse,Bsed upon the above, what are your current thoughts... raise your bid, lower your star rating (and likely raise your bid as well), change your dates, etc? Thanks for using our PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. cornmouse
Thanks for your input.I guess I have to stay farther away from Millennium Park area, probably nearer to the airport... Afterall, hotels there can be reached by subways.. :) Link to comment

AaronJB
If you are driving, I'd be happy to suggest other areas outside the city besides the airport. Link to comment
