cpo
I booked with Priceline for September 16 for one night. Got the Crowne Plaza St Louis-Clayton at $45 a night plus fees and taxes. Parking was $6. Do not pay at the garage, the hotel will give you a voucher for the $6 reduced rate.Checked in and I was booked into a smoking room even though Priceline states all rooms are non-smoking. No problem to book me into a non-smoking room. I had my choice of floors. My room was a bit weird shape but large enough and felt a bit like older european hotels. Marble bathroom. Incredibly comfortable bed (I slept in a extra hour) with 10, yes 10 pillows all to myself!Hotel staff was very friendly.Ice was on a different floor and I room could have been a bit more soundproofed as I could hear conversations in the hall. It was still quiet but a bit disconcerting that I could hear their whole conversation. All in all a great room for a stopover night on a long drive for less than the Motel 6 in St. Louis!
