thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! The 2* is a match fro the the Aqua Island Colony while the 3* is a match for the Aqua Waikiki Wave... so that would be our best guess for each. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Heidiuo
Thank you, I did find Kitchenette with the additional amenities so it would be Hokele Suites Waikiki. I'm looking at a 3* Hotel in Waikiki Beach AreaNear BeachFitness CenterPoolRestaurantLaundry3 rooms, 6 adults$89 per night Sept 13-17, 09Trip Advisor rating 4 out of 5I'm thinking this is a match for the Ohana Wakiki Beachcomber. Do you agree? I want to try my luck at Priceline first to see if I can get something less expensive, but it doesn't look like many people have successful bids in the 3* range. Also, if I decide to book 2 rooms instead of three, will I just get hit wth the extra person fees when I check in? I've been told that often the hotels don't even ask how many people are checking in and let the extra person fee slide. But that sounds risky... Thanks for all your help! Link to comment
thereuare
Yes, it would be risky as besides the additional fee, you could receive a hotel with only one bed and the hotel may be unable, or unwilling, to swtich your assigned room to one with two beds.If you want to bid on PRICELINE, what star rating do you want to try, which zones are acceptable, and what is your maximum bid? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Heidiuo
Since I know I have that 3* waikiki beach option on Hotwire for $89, i'd say $85 would be my max bid for a 3* hotel on Priceline. I'm looking for Waikiki Beach area only. I'll definitely use the links here when I start my purchase. Link to comment
thereuare
At the 3* level you have TWO re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. (NOTE: Ihilani and North Shore are NOT re-bid zones at the 3* level since each currently has Resort rated properties)(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)Select 3* Waikiki Beach...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $75, if rjected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* Waikiki Beach and re-bid zone2...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $85Any questions feel free to ask. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
