Hotwire Hotel: 3.5* Chicago (Magnificent Mile-Streeterville) Embassy Suites Lakefront

I just booked the Embassy Suites - Downtown Lakefront (511 N Columbus) for 1 night on 10/24/09 for $108.

The cheapest rate on the hotel's website is $179.

The same rate was offered a few weeks ago on Hotwire for this hotel on this date, however it disappeared between the time I originally identified it and when I went to book it. I stayed in this hotel in about 2003, and prefer it to many other hotels that I've stayed at in Chicago, so was keen on seeing if it re-appeared, and was happy to see that it did after being absent for about 3 weeks.

Listed amenities were:

- Suite

- Complimentary Breakfast

- Fitness Center

- Pool(s)

- Restaurant(s)

- Business Center

- High-speed Internet Access

In addition to the $108 there were an additional $22.85 in taxes, total winning bid was $130.85.
