Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Portland (Downtown) Hilton Executive Tower

Was also trying to book a 4* in Downtown Portland like tvhagen, but for 8/13-8/17/09. Added North West Portland, then Convention Center with incremental bids to $79. Reduced bid to $68 and added 3.5* and was accepted. Shoulda went lower on the 3.5* or higher on the 4*. Still not a bad deal, considering listed rate on Priceline and Orbitz was $159. :-)

Update:

Hotel was very nice. No mention of Priceline discount. Offered 2 doubles or king room. We opted for a king which had corner views. Pool was unexpected in a downtown location. The room was large, but the bathroom a bit tight. Coming from NY this is not surprising for a downtown location. Coffee maker in room, no minibar. Internet for $$$, even on the lobby computers. Parking was in excess of $20 per day, but the first night we parked nearby for less for $8 a day but without in and out ability. Weekend rates there were 3.95, but we found overnight parking on street for free after 7 PM. Right near local mass transit which we didn't use. High end shopping surrounds hotel.

We would definitely stay here again, especially at this deep discount.
