siubo
Hi, i just won the trump hotel via priceline for 95 dollars a night. After reading the reviews of the hotel in this site, i have come to learn that the hotel will charge me a mandatory fee of $15 per day for "resort fees". i am very unhappy with this as i feel that it was not information disclosed at the time of bidding. i would like to know if there is any way that i can argue with either priceline or the trump hotel about the fee.$15 per day is not a large amount and you may think that i am being petty, but i cannot help but feel that i have been tricked. $95 is what i they accepted plus $15 per day = 110 dollars. With that amount, i could paid just a little more and would have gotten the Wynn via HOTWIRE. What do you suggest that i do? or is there anything that i can do at all? Link to comment
yellowdog
Welcome to BetterBidding!Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Can you please post the dates for your stay so it can appear in boards Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of WinsSorry to see that this is your first post with this experience. But this information is to be found under Important information on the last page, located just over the "initial box". I doubt that complaning to PRICELINE will not help you here. You may talk you out of the fee at the hotel. The reservation holder must present a valid photo ID and credit card at check-in. The credit card is required for any additional hotel specific service fees or incidental charges or fees that may be charged by the hotel to the customer at checkout. These charges may be mandatory (e.g., resort fees) or optional (parking, phone calls or minibar charges) and are not included in your offer price.Have a pleasant stay.Yellowdog. Link to comment
MadFlyer
While I am in the minority here, I stayed at the Trump and fully understood that without having a casino that this luxury property needs to charge this fee to cover the following services. I know the fact that this is a condo hotel is too abstract for most guests to understand but I think these fees replace the "fees" that would normally be paid by a resident for the services of the building. I did have a car though and enjoyed the quick in and out services of the valet parking that was included and know that normally hotels charge very high rates just for hotel self-parking. (just 1 minute from elevator to car and never waited more than 5 minutes for car) I was very happy with the hotel and really enjoyed the just off strip location with easy access through Nordstroms through the Fashion Square Mall to the strip. I even consider that my savings were greater in time spent manuevering through endless corridors and casinos to get to the lobby and then waiting 20 minutes or more to get my car at some casino strip hotels. http://www.vegas.com/incl/resortfees.htmlTrump $16.35 (with tax) Valet parking Access to fitness center Use of pool and spa (additional cost for treatments) Daily newspaper Shoe shine Incoming faxes In-room coffee Unlimited local and 800 calls 2 bottles of water daily Link to comment

ricepaddy2
The resort fee does not include use of the spa. I was told when I was there in April by the spa receptionist that there is a separate admission fee to use the spa facilities which is basically a tiny sauna and steamroom. I don't recall how much it was, but it was hardly worth the price of admission. Also, I'm not sure about free shoe shine. I've never read that anywhere before. It's something the Four Season's offers, but the Trump ain't the Four Seasons by a looooong stretch. Link to comment
