Lazycash
3 star in East of stripCasinoPoolRestaurantBusiness CenterHigh Speed Internet AccessLooked in the hotel list and don't see any 3 stars in this area so am curious if its a new one they are using. Just by looking at the area covered, suspected it may be Hooters Casino. Link to comment

Lazycash
My stay is for one night this Saturday the 18th. Its a busy weekend with a big boxing match and large convention, so its been impossible to get any kind of deal on the strip as most hotels seem to have inflated rates for this particular weekend. I'd prefer a 3 star and above, doesn't have to be on the strip, but would like it to have a casino. Link to comment
thereuare
This property has not yet been identiifed, and it's not necessarily a new one that HOTWIRE is using... there is often little reason to venture too far off the strip, so the number of hotels reported in this zone are much fewer than elsewhere, simply because it's not what most users are seeking when they go to Vegas. (although sometimes it's necessary if there is an event in town which makes staying on the strip prohitibively expensive)What is your budget for this Saturday nite... i see what i believe to be the South Point on HOTWIRE for $68/nite and it generally gets great reviews (although note it is somewhat far from the strip)Would this work for you rneeds? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Lazycash
Yeah I was considering the South Point at that rate. I'm mainly going for the NBA summer league at UNLV, which is just east of the strip, so I figured a hotel east of the strip should be close to the University. I've mostly used Priceline in the past, so I'm unfamiliar if Hotwire's rates stay consistent up until the arrival date or if they drop as it gets closer to the arrival if the property still has plenty of room. Maybe I'll just take a chance on this 3 star and see what property it is. Have you ever been able to identify it based on the tripadvisor rating and number of reviews? I tried and I can't seem to find a property that matches what hotwire lists. Link to comment
thereuare
The 'problem' with the Tripadvisor info is that it's a snapshot at point in time, the information is not updated dynamically, so if anything has changed since the 'snapshot' you could be looking information which is no longer accurate (and therefore doesn't exist)Since you have 'reason' to be in this area i took a closer look and i'd guess that the above may be the Boulder Station Hotel and Casino as it seems to be a good fit for all the info provided. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Lazycash
Needed one night off the strip for Sat July 18 and got the Fiesta in Henderson for $42. The strip pricing for this weekend was double the usual so decided to stay off the strip close to friends. Fiesta is a Station casino so its decent and fun. It's probably closer to a 2.5 rating, but for the price I was happy. Only thing that was annoying is that they charged an $11/day resort/service fee. I wouldn't mind paying this for a 5 star on the strip, but not for an average hotel off the strip. Link to comment
