JasonB824
I bid for 4* up to $123, downtown-pike place, got rejectedI bid for 3.5* up to $123, downtown-pikeplace, got rejectedAdded 3*, downtown-pike place and lowered my bid to $106, and was accepted.Expedia lists the Red Lion as a 3.5* (as do a lot of other sites), and at a rate of $219 for that night, and so I am happy. It was nice to get a higher end 3* hotel for that night. I know people are getting 4*'s for less than $100, but for that night it has been impossible. Overall I am happy. (FYI, for future reference, the Red Lion did NOT show up on my general Priceline search before bidding as an available hotel, which just goes to show you the limited usefulness of that technique to limit down hotels.) inspiration100
Did you check out the PRICELINE WASHINGTON HOTELS list? It's on that list under 3* which means it has been reported. The Seattle hotel guy.... Stayed in 14 hotels downtown and counting! Favorite Hotel Downtown: The Camlin Seattle (It's now a timeshare) Link to comment
yellowdog
Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please use the site's HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links to start future purchases.Overall I am happy. (FYI, for future reference, the Red Lion did NOT show up on my general Priceline search before bidding as an available hotel, which just goes to show you the limited usefulness of that technique to limit down hotels.)This is allready covered in boards PRICELINE FAQ topic. You should never compare PRICELINE's two diffrent services this way when doing your reasearch for a stay. But thanx for pointing this out again.Yellowdog. Link to comment
calbears
Ii have tried up to $105 for 4* and $84 for 3.5* for downtown and bellevue with no success for 7/28 to 7/29. this is for a weekday so i didn't think i would have to bid so high. does anyone know if a big event is taking place in the seattle area on this day?
